Brad Kauffman began his tutoring career while studying at UCLA, where he served as a teaching assistant for physics and math courses, supporting fellow students in mastering challenging material. This early experience sparked a passion for teaching that led him to pursue private tutoring throughout the Los Angeles area, working closely with high school students in subjects including calculus, chemistry, biology, and physics.
Over the past 10+ years, Brad has worked with hundreds of students, expanding his focus to include standardized test preparation and college-level math and science courses. Known for his clear, structured teaching style, he helps students break down complex concepts and build lasting academic confidence.
Now based in New York City, Brad leads Momentum Tutors, working with students in some of the country’s most competitive academic environments, including top public and private schools. Through both in-person and virtual sessions, he supports students nationwide, with many achieving significant score improvements and admission to highly selective colleges and universities.
His approach emphasizes clarity, confidence-building, and long-term academic success, helping students not only improve their performance, but develop a deeper more intuitive understanding of the material.
